Lexi’s documentaries include the award-winning Winds of Change, examining offshore wind development’s effects on West Coast fishing communities, and The Last Fin, which spotlights shark fishing and the importance of collaboration within coastal communities. Through her films and photography, she amplifies local voices, builds trust, and tells stories that matter.
With a background in environmental storytelling and hands-on field experience—from research at the Bimini Shark Lab to collaborations with fishing communities—Lexi brings authenticity, intention, and cinematic vision to every project she creates.

Lexi is a filmmaker and visual storyteller with a foundation in environmental research and coastal policy. She holds a Master of Coastal Environmental Management from Duke University and a B.S. in Environmental Studies from Santa Clara University. With hands-on experience in marine conservation—from research at the Bimini Shark Lab to collaborations with fishing communities across U.S. coastlines—she brings a cross-disciplinary, systems-thinking approach to storytelling that combines technical expertise with human-centered insight.
